This is something I’m constantly thinking about as a woman who’s a creative person who also wants kids so badly. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I know I want both. Need both. But it’s such a hard one. Why don’t we deserve all pleasure? But why are we the ones who need to hurt ourselves for this process?

This was an amazing article. Enjoyed reading all the articles you shared in the links too. Now I want to look for the books you mentioned in the articles. I need to know MOORREE! Thank you.

This was incredible. So nuanced. Ruthless and sharp-toothed. Language is failing me and this is persisting in me. Thank you.

amazing piece! i've been thinking more deeply about marriage + motherhood as I enter the second half of my twenties (not anything I'm doing right away lol, just contemplating paths for my future). I've resonated so much with the quotes you've pulled, can't wait to dive into the works of these writers

Really enjoyed this!! Not necessarily the same topic and it’s also about a queer relationship so the power dynamics are different, but have you read Our Wives Under the Sea? I was reminded of it (and its commentary on acceptance, competition, resentment) as I was reading this!
